外语教育研究中心是由我院从事外语教育研究的教师和博士研究生组成的学术机构,其宗旨是活跃学术氛围,发扬学科优势,培育学术研究新生力量,鼓励互助协作,资源共享,集体攻关,以促进我院学术研究和人才培养的持续发展。中心现有教授5人,副教授9人,专职教师28人,博士后2人,另有国内外知名兼职教授4人。

主要研究方向包括:外语教育、二语习得、语料库语言学、学术英语等。近年承担了国家社科基金项目6项,教育部人文社科项目3项,学校和省级研究项目10余项,在SSCICSSCI收录的本学科国内外重要期刊发表论文近200篇。先后举办了第五届中国第二语言习得研究国际学术研讨会”(2012)7届自主学习国际研讨会2016)、第三届中国学术英语研究会年会暨第二届学术英语在亚洲国际研讨会2017)。

本中心的学术研究内容主要包括:

  1. 外语教育方向:自主学习、教师发展、课堂互动、语言技能培养与测试、课堂环境与教学效果等。

  2. 语料库语言学方向:语料库语言学理论和方法、语料库驱动的语言研究、语料库建设等

  3. 学术英语方向:专门用途英语词汇、句法和语篇特征、学术英语课程设置、学术英语与批判性思维、学术英语能力发展等

  4. 二语习得方向:二语能力发展、二语词汇语义网络、二语学习动机、二语学习焦虑等

Center of Foreign Language Education Research is an academic institution composed of teachers and doctoral candidates involved in research on foreign language education. It aims to activate the academic atmosphere, promote the advantages of disciplines and cultivate new force for academic research. It encourages the mutual assistance and collaboration by sharing resources and tackling problems together, which will guarantee the sustainable progress of academic research and personnel training of the school. Currently, the center has 5 professors, 9 associate professors, 28 full-time teachers, 2 post-doctorate researchers, and 4 distinguished part-time professors from home and abroad.

The main research directions include foreign language education, second language acquisition, corpus linguistics, academic English and so on. In recent years, researchers of this center have undertaken six National Social Science Foundation projects, three Humanity and Social Science Fund projects of the Ministry of Education, and more than 10 university and provincial level research projects. Nearly 200 articles have been published in important SSCI and CSSCI journals home and abroad. The 5th International Symposium on SLA (2012), the 7th International Conference of the Independent Learning Association (2016), and the 3rd China EAP Association Annual Conference & the 2nd International Symposium on EAP in Asia (2017) were held successively.

The academic research of the Center mainly includes:

1) Foreign language education: autonomous learning, teacher development, classroom interaction, language skill development and testing, teaching environment, and teaching efficiency, etc.

2) Corpus linguistics: corpus linguistic theory and methods, corpus-driven language research, corpus construction, etc.

3) Academic English: vocabulary, syntactic and discourse features of English for specific purposes, academic English curriculum, academic English and critical thinking, the development of academic English ability, etc.

4) Second language acquisition: the development of second language ability, second language lexical and semantic network, second language learning motivation, second language learning anxiety, etc.
