研究中心人员主要包括研究跨文化交际方向和文学方向的博士导师、硕士导师、任课教师以及对文学、跨文化交际、比较文学和文化领域具有兴趣的教师。中心成员16名，其中教授4名，副教授8名；10名具有博士学位，4名博士在读。另外聘有德国哥廷根大学的Heinrich Detering教授为客座教授。
近十年来中心承担完成国家社科基金项目6项，教育部人文社科项目5项，多项省级和学校项目。在SSCI，A&HCI和CSSCI收录的本学科国内外重要期刊发表论文百余篇。
研究中心旨在为我院的比较文化（文学）研究方向的教师和研究生打造一个良好的学术交流平台，配合我院的学科建设，进一步完善科研教学之间的互动。主要研究方向包括：（1）比较文化研究；（2）比较文学研究；（3）跨文化交际研究；（4）跨文化教育研究；（5）英美文学研究；（6）文学理论研究；（7）德国文学研究；（7）法国文学研究；（8）日本文学研究等。

Center members are Ph.D. supervisors, MA supervisors, and faculties of comparative literature and cultural studies, as well as teachers who have particular research interests in these fields. The academic group consists of sixteen members, including four professors, eight associate professors. Ten of them have got doctorates and another four are PHD candidates. Professor Heinrich Detering of the University of Gottingen has been invited as the guest professor by the center.
In recent years, researchers of this center have undertaken six National Social Science Foundation projects, five Humanity and Social Science Fund projects of the Ministry of Education, and many university and provincial level research projects. More than 100 articles have been published in important SSCI, A &HCI, and CSSCI journals home and abroad.
The center aims to help set up a platform of academic exchange for the faculty and students of literature and cultural studies; and help enhance the joint development of research and teaching practices in School of Foreign Languages. The major research areas are:
