2012年2月华中科技大学新威尼斯v0008-Apple App Store在原跨文化交际研究所的基础上组建国别（区域）研究中心（Center for Regional Studies），2017年3月又将德国文化研究中心等中心并入国别（区域）研究中心。本中心是跨学科、多语种的综合研究平台，研究人员来自德语、英语、日语、法语、俄语和韩语六个语种，研究对象涵盖德国、法国、英国、美国、韩国、日本、巴西、新西兰、克罗地亚、中国台湾等国家和地区的外语、宗教、文化、政治、历史等各个领域。中心致力于提供广泛的学术服务，促进跨学科的学术合作，开展高水平的国情研究与教学。目前中心主任是王竞超老师，全面负责中心工作；
国别（区域）研究中心按照新威尼斯v0008-Apple App Store的部署与制定的发展规划，在举办项目申报、学术沙龙与讲座、国际交流、学术交流、学术发表、资料建设、科研团队等多个方面取得了多项进展。国别（区域）研究中心自成立以来，每年邀请中外著名专家学者举办2-4场学术讲座，共计30余场。研究中心成员每年举办学术沙龙1-3次，共计20余次。中心通过举办学术会议、讲座和沙龙，聘请客座或兼职教授加强国内外学术交流，使我校老师和同学接触到本学科的领军人物，了解最新的学科研究前沿和有效的研究方法，从而开拓研究思维，同时也让专家学者了解我们的研究现状，并提出指导性意见。
国别(区域)中心成员近年来申请到国家社科基金5项、教育部人文社科项目3项和湖北省社科基金1项，中心成员还参与主持了5项国社科重大项目、2项国社科重点项目的子课题研究。中心成员近年出版专著11部，在A&HCI发表论文1篇，在CSSCI和北大核心期刊发表论文26篇（以上统计数据截止2017年底）。国别（区域）中心研究领域涵盖各国哲学、文学、历史、文化等多方面，有力促进了学科发展，使中心的整体科研水平上了一个台阶。
Center for Regional Studies
In February 2012, the School of Foreign Languages of Huazhong University of Science and Technology established the Center for Regional Studies on the basis of the former Institute of Intercultural Communication, and in March 2017, the Center for Cultural Studies of Germany was incorporated into it. The Center for Regional Studies now is an interdisciplinary and multilingual comprehensive research platform. Its members are teachers of German, English, Japanese, French, Russian, or Korean. Their research areas include language, religion, culture, politics, history of Germany, France, the United Kingdom, the United States, South Korea, Japan, Brazil, and New Zealand, Croatia, Taiwan, ect.. The Center is committed to providing a wide range of academic services, promoting interdisciplinary academic cooperation, and conducting high-level national condition research and language teaching. At present, the director of the center is Wang Jingchao, who is responsible for the overall work of the center.
In accordance with the development plan of the School of Foreign Languages, the Center has made great progressin organizing project applications, academic salons and lectures, international exchanges, academic exchanges, academic publications, data construction, and establishingresearch teams. Since its establishment, the center has invited famous Chinese and foreign experts and scholars to give more than 30 academic lectures, with 2-4 each year. It has also arranged its members to hostmore than 20 academic salons, with1-3 each year. Through holding academic conferences, lectures and salons, inviting guest or part-time professors to strengthen academic exchanges, our teachers and students come into contact with the leading figures of this discipline to learn about the latest research trends and effective research methods, so as to open up their researchideas, and let the experts and scholars get to know our research, and give some guidance as well.
In recent years, the members of this center have got 5 National Funds for Philosophy and Social Sciences, 3 Humanities and Social Science Funds of the Ministry of Education, and 1 Hubei Social Science Fund, and participated in 5 Major National Projectsand Sub-projects of 2 Key National Projects for Philosophy andSocial Sciences.They have also published 11 monographs, 1 paper in A&HCI, and 26 papers in CSSCI and Peking University core journals (by the end of 2017). The research domain of the center covers philosophy, literature, history and culture of various countries, which has effectively promoted the development of the discipline and brought the overall scientific research of the center to a higher level.
